When I'm on my Knees I'll still believe
Oct 23, 2013Turtleneck
Alas, Toronto is getting chilly again. It's that pre-fall cold we all know so well - not enough for your winter jacket, but still bitter on your fingers. I think the only thing keeping everyone's moods up is the sunshine which has refused to allow our sunglasses a break. It's so sunny that I'm sure without the windchill, it would feel like the mid 60's (Fahrenheit that is, I'm still not familiar enough with Celsius :p). This however, is a perfect opportunity to whip out all my favorite sweaters and tights. This particular oxblood turtleneck is one of my favorites. It's that hugable, soft, cozy sweater with a perfect hue (meaning I can also whip out some vampy-dark lip color). win-win.

Today was the last of my midterms, but school hasn't even settled down in the slightest of ways. Assignments are piling up faster than the orange leaves on the sidewalk and I feel busier than I have in several weeks. Even the sun-lit city is beginning to look cloudier than it probably is...the buildings look grayer, the insides of those gorgeous, Gothic classrooms look darker, and a dozen box of donuts (yup, that happened) doesn't taste nearly as good as it should. I guess it's easy to feel discouraged and lonely this time of year. Everyone spends their solo time cooped up in a corner of the library with very limited communication with the outside world.. Hopefully this weekend will lighten things up for me. I hope to go apple picking perhaps, and enjoy a bit of quiet away from the hustle and bustle of downtown followed by the sweet smell of cinnamon apple pie... *swoon* Have a great rest of the week! xx
