You know it's summer vacation when you don't know what day of the week it is.. But today, I'm (almost) certain it's Wednesday. Why? Because I accidentally opened the computer calendar. Not much new in my life -- might be playing in a contemporary ensemble in Chicago this summer, exciting, and might vacation in the Caribbean in July. Here's to hoping.




Ingredients
  • Good quality olive oil
  • 2 tbs chili peppers (or more if you prefer)
  • 3 basil leaves 
Directions
Place basil leaves, chili peppers and olive oil in jar. Shake, and let stand for at least 4 days, shaking every day. 
*Goes well on your favorite pizza dish, or with bread and herbs
