Library Caroling?
I"m currently sitting in the library, doing a bit of finals studying and listening to the Christmas station on Pandora. I absolutely love this time of year. There are beautiful lights and trinkets everywhere. Christmas trees stand tall in the cold, and everyone bundles up in jolly sweaters and red scarves...Christmas time in the city is stunning. The busy city sidewalks are all dressed in holiday style, and in the air there's a feeling of Christmas. Children laughing, people passing, meeting smile after smile, and on every street corner you'll hear silver bells ;). Yup, I just typed up those lyrics in real time. Good thing the person sitting across from me is Rob, so he wont be concerned if I rock back and forth to all these pretty tunes <3.

All this holiday cheer isn't the only thing bringing up my mood. These few pieces from Persunmall are a wonderful addition to my holiday (and everyday!) wardrobe! This gorgeous dress is perfect for the bitter cold that comes with this time of year. It's wonderfully thick (incredible material!!) and stays put even with the harshest of winds! It also has..wait for it...pockets! Yup, that's how I know I've found a keeper. I've gotten loads of compliments on it already and can't wait to whip it out again in December - probably with some bright red tights and a green coat :)! I also found these stunning fox earrings (have foxes on clothes become the new cats on clothes?!) and this gorgeous lace-y bracelet. I've been wearing a lot of black recently, so it's nice to switch it up and wear some lighter colors (especially the pink coat!) but, of course, I've darkened it up with some thick black tights and my favorite ever pair of shoes (sorry for the lack of shoes lately, I've been swooning over these ever since I touched their soft leather).

Windy City 2.0

Maybe that's not exactly a thing, but the other day sure seemed like it! The wind was blasting, it was crazy!! These pictures sort of speak for themselves and the wind! My hair was everywhere in almost all the pictures, so I didn't get to have too many shots hopefully these are enough haha!

As for all things new, this skirt was my first ever purchase from ASOS and these boots my first ever purchase from ZARA. Both very wonderful gifts and I am incredibly grateful :). Wish I had a bit more to say but it's off to class for me! xx

Layering Leaves && Uniquely You Challenge

November Chill
The city has very suddenly gotten very very cold. I had trouble taking these pictures (as did my photographer's cold fingers, I'm sure!) but was too excited to show you this new dress to stay indoors! Everyone's strolls to and from class have quickened, and everywhere you look, you'll spot thick sweaters, scarves, gloves, and winter coats. I've captured a few of the rather enjoyable plants growing around University, the leaves are stunning! Hopefully it snows soon as it's almost December and all the pretty lights are up :)...Oh this time of year is my favorite ~

A lot of you asked me about this lovely coat! I actually lucked out a lot with this purchase. I snagged this up from Modcloth's stylish surprise a few weeks ago :). If you're not familiar, you basically pay 15$ for a surprise goody! It's anything from a top, dress, skirt, or even coat! What a deal, eh? a 15$ coat! *swoon*
PS: Please excuse me for this most likely random and non-flowing post, I'm watching Finding Nemo as I write this :)

I styled it trying to keep my favorite fall pieces and colors in mind! Oh la la, my first ever wish list on Plated Pearls! I'm not sure if you've heard of persunmall - a really swaggy global website with incredible clothing at incredible prices - but everything on my wishlist is from there. I literally wanted to show you hundreds of items, as everything there is incredibly pretty, but it would have been impossible to fit that many items into a 720px photo ;). Alas, I chose twelve (as that is my lucky number) of a few pieces from my dreams ~ aren't they incredible!? Go take a gander at persunmall, I'm sure you'll find something you fancy :) xx. Hearts on my Sleeve

New Love(s)

Despite the November chill, there's always those last couple of random, warm days that surprise us all - but the Indian Summer isn't the only thing pleasing these past couple of days. The School storm has calmed just a bit (post-midterm season is quite lovely), the weather is brisk but not uncomfortably freezing yet, and life is just overall good. To celebrate, I whipped out a few new pieces I've been dying to share with you :)! Behold, my first ever purchase from ASOS ! I snagged these pants and shoes during their 70% off sale (brilliant!) and never looked back. I've been craving a pair of high-waisted black trousers for quite some time now, and was pleasantly surprised when I spotted the perfect ones. I've looked endlessly but they've all seemed to come with their flaws - either not high-waisted enough, not cropped enough, not fitted enough etc etc...but these met all my expectations and more. Oh, and the shoes speak for themselves I think...about time I got a pair of ankle-strapped heels! Paired off with a polka-heart top, bowler hat, leather jacket, and little bunny bag, and ta-da, I'm obviously enjoying myself :P :).*happy dance*

New Friends
This darling fella followed me all the way to class the other day. Despite most people's strong dislike for squirrels in the city I find them rather charming. They're super cute, trusting, and they're really fun to feed! (yes, I feed the squirrels sometimes...) I had fun snapping away and I would have had a lot more photos...but he didn't like staying in one place for too long. Oh, the troubles of manual focus.

Toronto is exceptionally lovely this time of year so I'll try to get a few more photos of the gorgeous colors and Ivy before the winter winds carry them away. With the end of Halloween, the city begins getting ready for the holiday season, and I can't wait to dive head first into it all! Expect a lot of (ugly) winter sweaters and tights I find cute from now on ;). The weather's only getting colder from here so I'm off to huddle up in my cozy bed with some cocoa and maybe a chick-flick. It's been a while since I've seen one. Or better yet, I'll re-watch Gossip Girl....Cheers! xx
